Synopsis

This is the story of an isolated Alaskan town that is plunged into darkness for a month each year when the sun sinks below the horizon. As the last rays of light fade, the town is attacked by a bloodthirsty gang of vampires bent on an uninterrupted orgy of destruction. Only the small town's husband-and-wife Sheriff team stand between the survivors and certain destruction.

My Take: This is one of the best vampire movies I have seen, very good concept, well made & good effects. This could have been a Must watch except that the Indian release DVD has some nice gory scenes censored and the DVD has some sound sync issues towards the end. Bottomline: Recommended. 3/5 stars.

Better version of Dawn of the Dead (good special effects)...where in a place plunged into darkness for 30 days, Vampires (human) become active and start a killing game...but thankfully not everyone is dead. Josh Harnett is good...but the way the film ends - you dont like it.
