Michelle St. John is a Native American Actress of the Cree tribe and also a native in Canada who was first recognized on the cartoon ";Beverly Hills Teens"; (1987) doing the one of the voice talents on the show. Voice talents is one of Michelle St. John's most primary works, but she next starred in Where the Spirit Lives (1989)which earned her a Gemini Award. Michelle St. John's most remembered role is that of Helen Betty Osborne - a real life Indian girl - who was murdered in Manitoba, Canada in 1971. Michelle was determined to make the role as real as possible and help stop violence against women. She played the role of Helen Betty Osborne in the Canadian television major motion picture of Lisa Priest's novel, _"Conspiracy of Silence" (1991) (mini)_ , opposite Michael Mahonoen. After the success of that film she appeared as White Feather on ";By Way of the Stars"; (1992) (mini) and the television version of Geronimo (1993) (TV). She lent her voice talents as Nakomo in Disney's animated version of Pocahontas (1995), and then appeared in Coyote Summer (1996) and the comedy Smoke Signals (1998). Her recent film, The Business of Fancydancing (2002), won an award in the Independent Film Festival.
