It’s disappointing to see a brilliant director make a bad movie. Tasveer 8x10 has all the right ingredients to make it a noteworthy film, yet it falls flat. This is the first time Nagesh Kukunoor is experimenting with the crime-thriller genre. Almost everything seems to be right with the film; it has an intriguing concept, actors who are perfect for their roles, the right atmosphere and excellent cinematography. Plus, the locales of Cannada and South America are mind blowing. But somewhere the script falls short. Somehow all the build up is just not justified in the end. There are noteworthy brilliantly executed sequences which make you sit at the edge of your seat…but they don’t lead up to ‘that’ gripping climax you expect and can almost taste. Instead the movie leaves you with questions and loose threads. Overall, Mr. Kukunoor has fallen short this time. Akshay Kumar’s performance is interestingly different from his stereotype image. Ayesha Takia is good. The rest of the actors also do a good job. If the story were more thought-through, Tasveer 8x10 could have earned a different fate!

Could not watch the move, the DVD failed to go beyond 30 min..lots of scratches....

i really liked the movie and the suspense was superb...akshay is good and ayesha is ok....direction is good...on total i give it 3.5/5

Akshay is good, Ayesha is awesome, direction is decent - but the ending spoilt it all. It just didnt ring true... Javed Jaffery's eccentricity could have been played down. The movie is shot very well though.

My Take: V.good casting and performance. Innovative story falters to deliver a convincing climax of this mystery film, which leads to the entire movie experience reduced to a waste.

Bottomline: Average - 2/5 stars.

Note: I find a lot of people complaining in their reviews about DVD/VCD quality etc. I would like to mention my experience with Seventymm is very satisfying, I too have some minor complains but overall it has been good in terms of movie DVD collection, condition of discs, customer support, deliveries and replacements if any.

Very much disappointed.....when i got DVD for first time print was pathetic....and again second time when i got the DVD it was again not working.........do be shock when the new DVD of this movie does not work.....be ready for pathetic print of DVD.........hopeless service from SeventyMM
