A directorial debut that combines tact and satire in equal measure and delivers a fantastic modern day masterpiece! Luck By Chance is a blend of great acting and excellent storytelling. Zoya Akhtar has checked excesses in every frame and kept the story to the point. Even the cameos are well placed and flow with the script. Not once, does the viewer get the impression that a scene has been force fitted or is out of sync; a common phenomenon in movies that employ cameos. Farhan Akhtar faces the camera once again and comes out with flying colours! He’s a natural! The camera loves him and it shows in every frame. For Farhan Akhtar fans (more so for the ladies), this movie is a must watch! Konkana Sen Sharma portrays the character of a B grade actress with panache. She is, as always, brilliant! Hrithik Roshan dances. That’s about all I’ve got to say about him!

The film scores top marks for screenplay, editing and cinematography as well! The colourful costumes and overall festive feel give it the quintessential Bollywood look! A look that works wonders for the film! Luck By Chance is a film about how films in India prioritize everything superfluous and ignore actual substance. It showcases the frivolousness but has the substance! A must watch for movie lovers!

One-time watch...good start but the movie stretches and one has to wait for the end.

Donno why the genre 'Comedy' has been assigned to this - I dint find anything laughable in the movie.
Can be seen once.

My Take: Good performances and story. An incite into to a bollywood struggler's journey, money, two faced people & fame (similar to Madhur Bhandarkar films). Enjoy the the many special appearances by lead actors from Farhan's films. Farhan himself is not convincing enough. It's a lengthy film for the content, had to forward a couple of times to keep me interested.

Bottomline: Recommended. 3/5 stars

A good movie again from the Akhtar's. Farhan is strong and so is the directing. Nice cameos.

I wish bollywood (sorry, Hindi film industry) would make more such movies. Things are definitely improving. :)
