This may very well be the come back film for Ram Gopal Varma this year. Phoonk is an exceptional horror flick that will make you think. As a concept the film is not unique, nor is the execution, but nonethless Phoonk works because it touches a chord somewhere deep within our brains. It invokes a fear that we cannot shake off when we walk out of the theatre. Phoonk, in that sense, in a haunting movie.

All the actors have done a fabulous job. Special mention of Ahsaas Channa, the little girl around whom the movie revolves. Sudeep comes out with flying colours in his Hindi debut. To sum up, Phoonk is worth watching. But here's a word of advice. DO NOT watch it alone.
