Great movie... One must watch this movie because of good performance, best direction and better storyline.

I watched this movie because I wanted to see Gene Hackman . And What I got was a slightly mellowed Gene Hackman . If you have watched the Iron Eagle series then this movie is very predictable and full of Gung Ho American Candor. Owen Wilson fits well into a role that is not typecast for him and Gene Hackman though mellowed, does well. The plot is a bit stale and I found the trick of dropping fuel tanks to deceive Heat seeking SAM's a bit baffling. The dry humour when the plane crashes , when the camera zooms on to a graffiti on the nose cone (Made in America) cant be missed. This perhaps is the punch line of this movie. By Americans, for the Americans. Watch this movie if you would like an action flick for a rainy weekend.
