| | | It's better for older kids... but little ones will love watching all the animals dance. My 2 year old loves the dancing parts and the end where the animals say byebye! |

| | | A light comedy with children as its primary target audience, Madagascar starts off with a lot of zing. Though it doesn’t quite match up to the charisma of Shrek, it’s a huge improvement over Shark Tale. The story begins with Marty, a pampered zebra at New York’s Central Park Zoo wants a peek into the bigger picture of life, takes off. His buddies at the zoo (Alex the Lion, Gloria the Hippo and Melman the giraffe) try to rescue him, but are captured and put on a ship en route to Africa. Of course, they find themselves in the middle of a chaos where a few errant penguins hijack the ship and want to redirect it to Antarctica. The four friends are washed ashore the exotic island of Madagascar and thus begins the funny survival tale of four creatures who are in no way prepare to face the realities of life.
