Sanjay Mehra (Rakesh Roshan) is a scientist obsessed with establishing contact with extraterrestrial life. So, he invents gadgets that can transmit messages to space. His foresight pays off when a spaceship is sighted in the sky. But before Sanjay can enjoy his success, he and his pregnant wife, Sonia (Rekha), become the victims of a tragic accident.
