Synopsis

Directed by Mehreen Jabbar, Ramchand Pakistani is a story of a Pakistani Hindu boy who crosses the border accidentally and spends years in prison with his father. The mother in the meanwhile, doesn`t have a clue and wonders what happened to her husband and son. The movie features Nandita Das and Rashid Farooqi.

A well-made movie about the reality of life in prison, which is surprisingly not as bad as made out to be. Despite the synopsis it is not a depressing movie. A good performance by the young Ramchand. A movie for people with a passing interest in alternate cinema.
