The film is based on the life and period of the renowned painter Raja Ravi Varma. An adaptation of Ranjit Desai's Marathi novel on the painter, the film stars Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen and will be released in both English and Hindi aptly titled Rang Rasiya and Colours of Passion respectively.
