Having done the role umpteen number of times, Kher declined the offer and instead suggested singer-theatre artist Sharon Prabhakar for the role.
Now that’s a weird suggestion na! But Sharon impressed one and all at the auditions. In fact, not many know that she is a Punjabi kudi in real life, too, and that made her quite an authentic fit.
