| | | Last Lear jeopardised | | | | The latest MNS diktat against the Bachchans asking for a ban on the release of all their films has put a question mark on the release of the latest Bachchan starrer, the much acclaimed The Last Lear which is to open this Friday.
Says Shubho Shekhar, executive producer and the CEO of Planman Motion Pictures, "This a truly sudden and unexpected development. I admit it hits us like a bolt from the blue."
"We might decide to leave Mumbai out of the release, which would be a big blow for us. But we're definitely going ahead with the release on Friday." Shubho adds, "To give in to this kind of thing would set a very wrong precedent. Today it's the Bachchans and our film starring one of them. Tomorrow, it could be someone else being targeted for the flimsiest of reasons. No way are we stopping the release."
