Movie rental portal Seventymm.com plans to invest $15 million over five years on expansion and promotion of its services.

The company plans to launch its services in 40 cities by the end of 2009.

And by the end of this year, it aims to be present in Pune, Ahmedabad and Kolkata. The VC-funded website currently delivers movies to its customers in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Chandigarh.

“We will invest about $15 million over the next five years of which around Rs 8-10 crore will be spent on mass media advertising in Q4FY09,” said Subhanker Sarker, COO, Seventymm.
